3-D Printer

What?  Our Learning Commons has a Makerbot Replicator Z18 Printer available for
teachers and students to print 3 D objects. The printer is in the Hack Lab (a.k.a. "Orange Room") within our Learning Commons. 

Who?    Our technology classes are currently using the printer, but if you have any questions about availability please see Mr. Tacchino or Mr. Canning.

Forest of Reading - White Pine 

What?   Forest of Reading is an Ontario Reading program which promotes the reading for enjoyment of the best of Canadian young adult fiction. A celebration is hosted by one of our Durham Catholic District School Board secondary schools in May of each year. 

White the Battle of the White Pine Books is hosted in May by our local Durham Public Libraries. 

Who?    This program is available to students in Grades 9 - 12.

When?  This program begins when the books arrive in late October.

S3 (Students Striving for Success)

What?   S3 usually starts in the second term of each semester. It runs for ten weeks, three days a week, after school. 

Who?    S3 is available to students in Grades 9 and 10 requiring support for core subjects, especially math.
