Support Durham Catholic Students This Giving Tuesday

Posted On Tuesday November 26, 2024

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

This Giving Tuesday, we invite families to make a positive impact within our own Durham Catholic learning community. Giving Tuesday is a Global Day of Giving, and this year it falls on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

We encourage students and families to contribute through School Cash Online (SCO) by selecting the Giving Tuesday Campaign. Your generous donations will help ensure that our students have access to essential resources like food, clothing, shelter, and more. These donations will directly support students, enabling them to fully participate in school activities such as field trips and extracurricular programs. Additionally, funds will help provide emergency support for families in need.

How You Can Help
You can make a difference by donating in one of the following ways:

  • Through your child(ren)’s School Cash Online (SCO) account: Simply select the Giving Tuesday Campaign. The minimum donation is $2, but you can donate more if you wish, by adding to the “quantity.” Note: SCO donations are not eligible for tax receipts.
  • Directly through the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation website: Donations of $25 or more made directly through the Foundation’s website are eligible for charitable tax receipts.

Your Donation’s Impact
By donating to the Durham Catholic Children's Foundation, you are helping students in need by providing them with everyday essentials such as food, housing, electricity, heat and other basic living necessities. Last year, the Foundation helped 178 students and families across 33 schools in our community. As requests for assistance continues to rise, we rely on the generosity of donors like you to meet these growing needs.
